Meliora hears her footsteps before she can see her, it's weird how they've become so recognizable to her in so little time. "If you say "I'd thought I'd find you here" I swear I'm going to push you off this hill," She threatens the shorter 'Roo.
Hibiscus Scoffs at her "That's sooooooo cliché Melili."
Meliora frowns at her joking tone. "Don't call me that."
Hibiscus' face immediately turns into a huge "smirk", the huge silly grin on her face is too wide and goofy to be a proper smirk, but Meliora entertains her anyway. She's not sure why. "Melili! Meli Meli Meli Meli Meli Melilás!" She sings on a high note, Melirora's frown gets bigger and she twitches her ears at the out-of-tune singing, she growls at Hibiscus when he stretches the last note. Hibiscus laughs at her.
"I went to your bar and you weren't there! I got worried you know, it's always busy at this hour." She plops down next to Meliora, her tail wagging in excitement, or the closest to it, "What's going on."
Meliora snarls "What? Nothing is going on, i'm just-" She pauses for a moment, "I'm relaxing."
"I've never someone relax with a frown," Hibiscus gave a sideway smile, Meliora was not sure if her frown could get bigger but she was trying, Hibiscus seemed to get the message and laughed at her for it, "Are you worried about the dry season? I know it gets harder for your supplier to produce more goods, but i'm sure things will be fine, The local shops still have a good stock we can get for you early!, one of my friends, what was his shop's name?, Ohhh I can't remember! anyway, his shop has so many beer stocks left, I can talk to him later about-"
"It's not that." Meliora interrupts her, the earlier anger gone by now.
Hibiscus seems surprised by her interruption, but she smiles at her anyway, Meliora doesn't know how it comes so easily to her, it's something she wishes she could be jealous of. The shorter Fenroo scoots a little closer and rests her back on the same rock Meliora is leaning against. "Then what is it? It's okay if you don't wanna tell me, I can understand, you know-"
"It's just..... This is my first dry season in a while not out there." Meliora shrugs, looking ahead at the horizon, the sun's been setting for about some minutes by now, and soon it'll be gone, she doesn't look in Hibiscus's direction for a while, anxiety building up inside of her, they stay like that for a while, just the two of them and the sun.
Hibiscus speaks up after a good ten minutes "Do you miss home?" her voice is soft, there's a layer of delicate attentiveness to it, Meliora's too proud to admit it, but it's one of the things she likes, loves, about Hibiscus, she wishes she could be as good as caring as her.
"I'm not sure." Meliora keeps looking at the horizon, the sun is gone, and the stars look down on them, it's a new season.
